How to Make a Copy of Your Template?

You can quickly create an exact copy of any template directly within the Editor. This action creates a new, independent copy and allows you to work on it without affecting the original. Making a copy of your template comes in handy when you need to create a similar template for a different purpose, build a template in another language or reuse specific components from an existing template.

By default, the new copy is set to Private and saved as a Draft. You can learn more about these settings in our article on template sharing and visibility.

How to Make a Copy

  1. Open the template you want to copy in the Editor.
  2. Click File in the top menu.
  3. Select Make a Copy.
  4. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to enter a name for the new template.
  5. Enter the new name and confirm. You will then be switched to the newly created copy.

If you made some changes in a template, save the template before Making a Copy of it. "Make a Copy" action does not save the changes to the original template.
