Release Notes 07.09-11.09.2026

This release covers everything we shipped between 7 September and 11 September 2026. It was a quieter week than the last one. The change most of you will feel is that the editor now compresses images when you save, so a template heavy with artwork no longer grows until saving fails. We also added document upload to the onboarding screen and fixed a checkbox that went missing in rendering.

Upload a document straight from onboarding

The onboarding screen now takes a file upload, so you can hand us a document to replicate as your first template without going looking for the right screen first. It is the same replication that runs in the editor, reached at the point where you are already deciding what to build.

Improved

• Templates with large images save reliably again. Images were stored into a template exactly as you supplied them, with no compression or downscaling, so a template built with full resolution artwork kept growing until the save request timed out and came back as a server error. When that happened you lost the work and got nothing back explaining why. We now compress images as they are saved into the template, which keeps templates small enough to save and makes saving quicker on the heavier ones.

• A checkbox placed on top of a container or rectangle that had a background colour did not appear in the rendered document, and sending the checkbox to the front made no difference. Checkboxes now render above a filled background as you would expect.
