Release Notes 10.08 - 14.08.2026
This release covers everything we shipped between 10 and 14 August 2026. Most of this period went into making template import and document generation fail less often on unusual template configurations. We also added the Carlito font and put a short notice in the AI chat panel making clear that you are talking to an AI.
Improved
- Template import and rendering are considerably more forgiving. A template with an incomplete formatter configuration, a chart missing its axis label or label angle, or a layout missing an empty-label setting could fail to import or generate, sometimes with a generic error that gave you nothing to work from. We added proper handling for each of these, so these templates now import and render instead of failing.
- The decline form in the Document Viewer now arrives prefilled. If we already have the person's details in the sidebar, the decline form is filled in from them, and follows the same editable rules as the main form. We also swapped the buttons around, since declining is the action you came to that dialog to take.
Fixed
- Saving a template could fail for certain template configurations, with the payload never reaching us and the template not stored at all. We fixed it, and these templates now save correctly.
- Uploading sample data could fail with an internal error in some cases. This is a follow-up to the decoding fix we shipped last week, covering a case that fix did not reach.
- Cell and table borders could render incorrectly when border settings arrived from the editor in a newer format than the renderer expected. Borders now normalise correctly and render as configured.
- Generating a test document could fail where PDF Services is not configured, because we attempted to apply the watermark anyway. We now skip the watermark step in that situation. This mostly affects self-hosted and dedicated cloud deployments, where PDF Services can be disabled or left undeployed.
- A document participant page could fail to load when the participant record behind it was missing. We handle that case properly now.
