Release Notes 14.09 - 18.09.2026

This release covers everything we shipped between 14 and 18 September 2026. The headline is Simple Electronic Signature, which is now available as a plan feature. The rest of the week went into template reliability and into making the template library on your dashboard load noticeably faster.

New

Simple Electronic Signature

We added Simple Electronic Signature as a plan feature. When your organisation has it enabled, we seal the signed document with a certificate before storing it. When it is not enabled, we flatten the signature image into the document as before. Availability is per plan, so get in touch if you want it switched on for your account.

Improved

• The template library on your dashboard loads faster. The template picker used to fetch a preview image separately for every tile in the gallery, and your browser queued those requests up behind each other. We now send the previews with the list itself, so the gallery renders from a single response.
• Stronger transport security for the editor. We hardened how we serve the editor from the customer portal, so browsers stay on an encrypted connection and your session is better protected in transit.

Fixed

• Document viewer embedding. Tightening our framing protection on 14 September had a side effect we did not intend: the public document viewer stopped loading inside an iframe, which broke the embedded generation and signing setup described in our tutorial. We exempted the public document viewer, so you can embed it on your own site again.
• Documents failing to generate. Generation could fail outright when a template had no output format stored. We fixed the cause, and those templates generate again.
• Template imports failing. Importing a template could fail with an error for certain template definitions. We fixed the cause, and those imports now complete.
• A template validation error. We fixed a validation error that could surface when working with templates.
• Checkbox borders picking up other components' styling. If any component border or a horizontal or vertical line on the page was set to dashed, checkbox borders were drawn dashed too. Checkbox borders now render independently of everything else on the page.
