Release Notes 2.220.0 (24.09.2025)

Automatic Field Detection for PDF Imports

We've supercharged our PDF import functionality to make your workflow even more efficient. Now, when you import an existing editable PDF, our system will automatically detect and create data fields for you.

This enhancement applies to both Template Import and Web Form Import, significantly reducing the manual setup required to get your documents ready for automation.

How It Works & Key Benefits:

  • For Template Imports: When you upload a PDF with editable fields (like text boxes, checkboxes, or dropdowns) to use as a template, we'll automatically add the corresponding data fields to your template and place them in the exact positions as in the original document. No more manual dragging and dropping of placeholders! 🚀
  • For Web Form Imports: This is a huge time-saver. Importing an editable PDF to create a web form will now automatically generate a complete solution. We create the template with all placeholders correctly positioned and, at the same time, build a web form with all the input fields already created and mapped to the template.

This improvement streamlines the entire setup process, allowing you to transform existing PDF forms into dynamic templates and web forms in seconds, not hours. It’s another step forward in our mission to simplify and accelerate your document generation workflows.

UX Improvement: Smarter Interface Permissions

We've refined the user interface to create a more intuitive experience. The "Add Workspace" and "Invite User" buttons are now hidden from users who do not have the required permissions for these actions. Previously, users could start the process but would encounter an error upon saving. This change prevents confusion and ensures that users only see the actions they are authorized to perform.

New Permission: Manage Template Versions

To provide more granular control over your document workflows, we have introduced a new user permission: Manage template versions. Initially, this permission will control a user's ability to delete a specific version of a template, preventing accidental removal of important iterations. In an upcoming release, this permission will also govern who can promote a specific template version to be the live, production version, further enhancing your team's change management process.

Internal updates

Release 2.220.0 introduces internal updates, refactoring, and code improvements that are not directly visible to end-users.
